THE CAUSE
Each year, St. Landry-Evangeline United Way partners with KLFY and Catholic Charities to conduct an all-day food drive for the food pantries in our area. During this marathon food drive, we often collect several tons of food that is then distributed to agencies that supply emergency food to our local citizens in need.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We encourage local schools and businesses to join this effort by serving as a collection site prior to the event. Sign up to support your local community through your participation by completing the registration form or by calling 337-942-7815.
Schools and businesses can start collection anytime before December 9, and deliver their collection on the day of the event at Super 1 in Opelousas. In addition, to food items, we also appreciate volunteers on the day of the event!
